BIOGRAPHY
Agostinho Francisco Langa Júnior has been Secretary of State for Vocational Technical Education since October 20, 2020. September 8, 1964, in the city of Maputo, son of Agostinho Francisco Langa, now deceased, and Regina Mambo.
Agostinho Francisco Langa Júnior attended primary school at Escola Pe. Alves Martins, in the city of Maputo, in 1978, having attended secondary education at the Noroeste I and Francisco Manyanga Secondary Schools, both in the city of Maputo and completed in 1985. He continued his studies in higher education at Eduardo Mandlane University ( UEM), in the city of Maputo, where he obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1990. From 1988 to 1990 he was Assistant Professor at UEM, in the city of Maputo. He attended training courses in Port Management in Rotterdam- Holland and Haifa- Israel in 2000 and 2001, respectively. Production Director, in the city of Maputo, between 1988 and 1991.
In May 1991 he was admitted to the company Portos e Caminhos, E.E, and assigned to Nacala. From 1992 to 1995 he served as Head of Port Operations Service. In March 1995 he was appointed Director of the Port of Nacala, when CFM became a Public Company, a position held until January 2005.
With the concession of the Northern System, in 2005, he moved to CDN where he held the position of Deputy Executive Director (COO), responsible for the operational area at CDN and CEAR (Centar East African Railway – Malawi), until 2011, when in which he started to work only in the Port of Nacala as Executive Director, under the management of Portos do Norte.
In 2015, he was appointed Executive Director at CFM, a position held until October 2020. In the same period, he was non-executive Director at Sociedade de Desenvolvimento do Porto de Maputo (MPDC), DP WORLD Maputo and TECHNOSHORE, representing the shareholder CFM.
Agostinho Francisco Langa Junior was President of the Clube Ferroviário de Nacala between 2006 and 2016. He is a member of the Order of Engineers of Mozambique since 2004 and a member of the FRELIMO party since 2005.
He was elected Member of the Municipal Assembly of Nacala in the first municipal elections, having requested exemption due to incompatibility of functions.
Agostinho Francisco Langa Júnior is married and has a daughter. He is fluent in the Xichangana, Portuguese and English languages and a practitioner of the Christian Catholic religion.
